Hands down THE BEST recording experience I’ve ever had. I’m so excited to pull my single series together with Christian Pyle at the desk lending his spot on perspective to the mix. Duncan Sproul on electric, Peter Kennedy on Bass and Gaving Dart on drums have been the dream team, I’m feeling super lucky to have these clowns to play with, so many laughs, so much great music. Exploding with the anticipation of releasing these tracks!

From smoky front bars (back in the days when front bars were smoky) to intimate café’s, festivals (Illawarra Folk Festival, Maldon Folk Festival, Frankston Guitar Festival, Woodford Folk Festival) to wineries, renowned live music venues and venues that should never try to host live music, Christina Giorgio has been found peddling her rootsy folk-pop sound.
In the years since relocating from Sydney to the beautiful North Coast of New South Wales, Christina has refocused her songwriting, produced a mountain of new material, had a couple of kids, made a home, recorded a studio EP at Byron Bay’s famous 301 studios, another live one at a quirky vintage music store in the sweet seaside town of Brunswick Heads and is in production for a her single series due for first release in early 2019.
Low key guitar style is the backdrop to big vocals and hooky lyrical songs that track all the edges of this human experience. Sometimes throwing in some bass grooves, a bluesy guitar, a dash of trombone, sweet harmonies and the driving rhythms of her band The Wishing Well, live gigs are fuelled by down to earth stories, sweet pop melodies and rootsy-great energy.
UPCOMING GIGS ▼
No upcoming shows scheduled
This year I’ve been putting a lot of my playing live energy into curating a beautiful space for live original music, The Song Lounge. It’s simultaneously the gig I want to play and the gig I want to go to. I’ve had so many brilliant artists jump on board whole heartedly even though it’s been a new and untested idea. I’ve also experienced hands down the most respectful, appreciative and joyous audiences in more than 15 years of playing live gigs. So much gratitude for this magical night so far. I’ve been sharing videos from the night on the Song Lounge You Tube channel. If you click below you can watch vids from all the artists who have played at the Song Lounge so far and enjoy some awesome tunes from Micka Scene & Pacha Mamma, Phil & Tilley Music, Nicole Brophy Music, Tim Stokes Music, Luke Bennett, Loren, Josh Lee Hamilton and Lou Bradley (oh and me!).
A pretty wonderful place to play some tunes today, under the trees, in the sunshine and supporting our small schools. Thanks to The Pocket Winter Festival for having us as a part of your beautiful event. I do love playing a good, old fashioned school fair so feel free to hit us up for yours!! 😍
Great to hang with the lovely Delphi, Luke Bennett and Loren today. Playing music, chatting Song Lounge, connection and songwriting.
It was so much fun being a part of the brilliant Byron blues fest busking comp. The talent was OFF THE CHARTS. Get on down to that busking stage if you’re at the festival.
For audiences it’s a chance to really experience the best of original artists up close and personal and dive deeper into the stories behind the songs.
For musicians it’s their time to connect heart to heart and share their musicianship, talent and energy. The Song Lounge is a platform to share the best of what original artists do with the best of audiences (you!).
In between acts set up on one of the shared tables, meet somebody new and get the conversations flowing. Grab one of the rugs and cosy up with a cushion, chai and a loved one. Ditch the cooking for the night and opt for one of our $10 bowls, locally sourced, nourishing, kind to the planet and super tasty.
Grab your friends, neighbours or special someone and come together to escape the everyday. Step into a space fuelled by community, connection, a little bit of magic and excellent music.
This is a BYO event. There will be chai, cakes and bowl food available on the night. Tickets are $20 + booking fee pre purchase or $25 on the door. Small humans under 5 are by gold coin donation. Bring a cushion and get comfy!
